Norwegian foreign minister arrives in Pakistan for first visit in a decade

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit, the Foreign Office said on Thursday.

The Norwegian foreign minister was received by the additional foreign secretary upon arrival.

During the visit, the Norwegian foreign minister will meet Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, according to the Foreign Office.

The meeting will cover all aspects of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Norway.

The visit marks the first trip to Pakistan by a Norwegian foreign minister in a decade, the Foreign Office said.

Norwegian Minister Espen Barth Eide visited the foreign office to hold talks with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.

On arrival, he was received by Dar. The two sides will hold delegation-level talks covering the full spectrum of Pakistan-Norway relations.
