A young man’s body, dismembered into three parts, was found near Gulshan-e-Qadri in Karachi’s Malir area, police said on Tuesday.

According to police officials, the victim appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old, but his identity had not yet been established.

Police and crime scene unit teams reached the site after receiving information and began collecting evidence.

The body was taken into police custody and shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Officials said the post-mortem report was expected to help investigators make further progress in identifying the victim.

Police are investigating the incident and continuing proceedings on the basis of evidence collected from the scene.
