A new anti-Taliban armed group has reportedly been formed in Afghanistan, with sources claiming the organisation will soon formally announce its structure, leadership and objectives.

According to the sources, the group, named the Jabha-e-Rah-e-Bakhsh Liberation Front, has been established under the leadership of Gul Mohammad Pahlawan in the northern province of Faryab.

The sources said the Liberation Front is expected to issue an official statement in the coming days outlining its organisational framework, command structure, goals and future activities.

The group has reportedly claimed responsibility for an attack on Taliban forces in Faryab on Monday.

Separate reports also suggested another attack targeting Taliban members in Ghormach district, although these claims could not be independently verified.

Sources further claimed that anti-Taliban operations have been reported in recent weeks in the Yaftal, Zebak and Argo districts of Badakhshan province.

Other resistance groups have also reportedly claimed responsibility for an attack on a Taliban convoy in Dushi district of Baghlan province, as well as operations targeting several Taliban checkpoints in Badakhshan.

According to the sources, these developments indicate an expansion in the scope of armed resistance against the Taliban and suggest possible coordination among different anti-Taliban factions.

The reported emergence of the new group follows earlier announcements by other resistance leaders.

Afghanistan United Front chief General Sami Sadat has previously declared an armed campaign against the Taliban government, while General Yasin Zia of the Afghanistan Freedom Front has also pledged to intensify resistance operations.

Sources associated with anti-Taliban circles claim growing public dissatisfaction over restrictions on education, employment and human rights, as well as alleged ethnic discrimination and corruption, has contributed to an increase in resistance activities.

The same sources also alleged that migration by Afghan citizens to European countries has risen significantly in recent months.

They further claimed that the Taliban killed 186 former Afghan security personnel over the past three months.

However, this claim, along with the reported attacks and other allegations, could not be independently verified. The Taliban authorities have not yet issued an official response to the claims.
