Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday extended his congratulations to Pakistan Muslim League-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and the successful candidates on the party’s victory in the second phase of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the successful candidates of the PML-N,” the prime minister said in a statement.

He said this continued success was the result of the hard work of the party’s Quaid Nawaz Sharif and the entire PML-N team.

“Under the leadership of the PML-N Quaid, the party’s team conducted a highly successful election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” the prime minister added.

He said the victory of the PML-N was reflective of the confidence of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in the party’s policies.

“The development and prosperity of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, along with the welfare and well-being of its people, remain among the foremost priorities of the PML-N,” the prime minister said and added that the active participation of political parties in the second phase of the Azad Kashmir elections will further strengthen the democratic process.
