General Syed Aamer Raza on Monday assumed charge as Commander National Strategic Command (CNSC) in a ceremony held at the General Headquarters (GHQ), the military’s media wing said.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Syed Aamer Raza was presented with a Guard of Honour upon assuming command of the National Strategic Command.
Following the ceremony, the newly appointed commander visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada, where he laid a floral wreath, paid tribute to the martyrs and offered Fateha for the elevation of their ranks.
Later, General Syed Aamer Raza called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at the General Headquarters.
During the meeting, the Field Marshal congratulated General Syed Aamer Raza on assuming command of the National Strategic Command and wished him success in his new responsibilities, the ISPR said.
