Gold prices surge in global and local market

Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Monday in line with their gain in the international market. In the local market, the gold price per tola reached Rs431,736 after a gain of Rs4,000 during the day.

Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs370,144 after it increased by Rs3,430, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Saturday, gold price per tola reached Rs427,736 after a gain of Rs300 during the day.

The international rate of gold was up by $40 to reach $4,093 per ounce (with a premium of $20).

Meanwhile, the price of silver increased by Rs100 to reach Rs6,397 per tola, a new all-time high.
