YouTube megastar MrBeast has married his long-time partner, content creator Thea Booysen, during an intimate week-long wedding celebration at Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

The social media star, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, announced the news on Instagram by sharing wedding photographs with the caption: “I found MrsBeast. And it was the best day of my life.”

According to People magazine, the couple exchanged vows after a week of celebrations that began on July 14, attended by around 70 close friends and family members.

The ceremony was officiated by a family friend who is also an ordained minister at the 74-acre island resort, where guests enjoyed activities including snorkelling, kitesurfing and feeding the island’s kangaroos.

For the occasion, Donaldson wore a Ralph Lauren tuxedo, while Booysen chose a custom-designed gown by Nicole + Felicia Couture.

The couple shared their first dance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With a Smile before guests were served a reception featuring sushi, fresh seafood, Wagyu beef and a carrot wedding cake.

Celebrity event planner Marcy Blum organised the celebrations.

Speaking to People, Booysen described the wedding as “heaven” and said the celebration felt like a natural next step in their relationship.

“It sounds silly, but this is really just a formality,” she said.

“Ever since we started dating, we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage.”

She added that despite their public profiles, married life would remain largely unchanged.

“The difference is now the world knows we’re married, but we’ll still come home to our house and dogs and cats, and then we’re off to our next adventure,” she said.

Booysen also praised Donaldson for ensuring every guest felt welcome throughout the celebrations, saying the experience made her “love him all the more.”

The couple first met in 2022 when Donaldson visited Booysen’s home country of South Africa, and they were introduced through a mutual friend.

After reconnecting through messages on X, they began a long-distance relationship and made their first public appearance together at the Kids’ Choice Awards later that year.

Donaldson proposed on Christmas Day in 2024.

The newlyweds said they now hope to make the week-long gathering an annual tradition, bringing together friends and family for a shared holiday each year.

MrBeast, 28, is the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber, with more than 500 million subscribers across his channels.
