Noreen Niazi, sister of former prime minister Imran Khan, has submitted her preliminary response to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over a notice issued in connection with alleged controversial remarks against state institutions.

In her reply, submitted through Advocate Faisal Malik, Niazi objected that the NCCIA notice did not specify the allegations or provide sufficient details of the complaint.

She categorically denied all accusations and also raised a legal objection to being summoned to Islamabad in her personal capacity without being furnished with the relevant record.

The response requested the NCCIA to provide copies of the complaint, supporting evidence and the allegedly objectionable material, stating that a detailed reply would be submitted after receiving the complete record.

Noreen Niazi urged the agency to fulfil all legal requirements while conducting the inquiry, citing constitutional protections, the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and the Code of Criminal Procedure.

She also requested the NCCIA to refrain from taking any unlawful, coercive or punitive action during the investigation.

The response maintained that she had not disseminated any hateful or unlawful content against any state institution and reaffirmed her willingness to cooperate with the investigation while reserving all legal rights.

The NCCIA has directed Niazi to appear before the agency on July 27 as part of the ongoing inquiry.
