At least five more Fitna Al Khawarij militants were killed in the ongoing Operation Shaban in Balochistan, security sources said on Monday, taking the total number of militants killed in the operation to 76.

The joint operation is being carried out by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police against the banned Fitna Al Khawarij militant group.

According to security sources, terrorists were killed during coordinated ground and aerial operations targeting militant hideouts.

The sources said that, since July 5, a total of 114 militants have been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations conducted in Balochistan.

Security forces said the operation would continue until the last terrorist is eliminated, reaffirming their resolve to sustain operations against militant groups operating in the province.
