Four terrorists belonging to the Commander Zahid group were killed during a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by Karak and Kohat police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district, according to the Central Police Office (CPO).

According to the CPO, the operation was carried out in the Khattak Dam area based on intelligence reports.

Police said the terrorists opened fire on the raiding party, prompting retaliatory fire.

Four militants were killed in the exchange.

The CPO said the slain militants belonged to the Commander Zahid group, which has allegedly been involved in the killings of several police officers and personnel.

According to the statement, the militants were wanted in multiple attacks on police and incidents targeting security personnel during 2025 and 2026.

The Central Police Office said operations against militants would continue until terrorism is eliminated from the province, adding that the campaign would not stop until the last terrorist is neutralised.
