Iran’s acting defence minister has said the country’s missile and drone capabilities constitute a “red line” for national security and will not be subject to any negotiations.
In a post on social media on Wednesday, Brigadier General Majid Ebnolreza said he had briefed members of parliament’s Economic Commission on Iran’s military achievements during the 40-day US-Israeli attacks on the country.
During the meeting, Ebnolreza stressed that Iran’s missile and drone programmes were non-negotiable and remained a core component of the country’s defence strategy, IRNA says in a report.
He added that Tehran would continue to strengthen and expand its missile and drone capabilities by relying on domestic expertise and indigenous capacities.
