Bahrain praises Pakistan's role in regional peace after Islamabad MoU

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss the regional situation following the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the Foreign Office said on Sunday.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on recent regional developments after the signing of the Islamabad MoU.

During the conversation, Al Zayani congratulated Ishaq Dar on the signing of the agreement and praised Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

The Bahraini foreign minister also commended Pakistan’s efforts to secure a ceasefire and announced plans to visit Pakistan in the near future.

According to the spokesperson, Al Zayani said he would personally convey his gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir for their efforts.

Meanwhile, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy in pursuit of regional and international peace, the Foreign Office said.
