Gold climbs in Pakistan as global prices surge

Gold prices rose in Pakistan on Tuesday, tracking gains in the international market.

The price per tola climbed Rs2,830 to Rs455,063, while 10-gram gold rose Rs2,547 to Rs389,534, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The gains reversed Monday’s decline, when the per-tola rate had shed Rs3,094 to close at Rs452,222.

Globally, gold rose $28 to $4,326 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium.

Silver also edged higher, adding Rs141 to trade at Rs7,314 per tola.
