A heatwave is tightening its grip across parts of Pakistan, with several cities in Sindh experiencing soaring temperatures while prolonged electricity load shedding continues to trouble residents.

In Karachi, the temperature is expected to reach 37 degrees Celsius. Despite the intense heat, residents in many parts of the city continue to face extended power outages, adding to concerns over the impact of rising temperatures.

Meanwhile, weather conditions in Lahore have turned pleasant following rainfall a day earlier, bringing relief to residents and improving overall conditions in the city. Weather forecasters have indicated the possibility of further rain in the coming days.

In Islamabad, partly cloudy weather is expected, with temperatures forecast to range between a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing at around 10 kilometres per hour, while humidity stands at approximately 43 per cent. Afzal Javed reports from the federal capital.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, dry and hot weather is prevailing across much of the province. The Meteorological Department has forecast strong winds and rain in the upper districts, while light winds are expected to develop in plain areas, including Peshawar, during the evening hours.
