Gold prices surged in local and international markets on Tuesday, with the price of gold in Pakistan increasing by Rs4,600 per tola to reach Rs477,762, according to market data.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs3,943, taking the new rate to Rs409,603.

In the international market, gold prices climbed by $46 per ounce to $4,554.

The sharp increase follows continued fluctuations in global bullion markets amid changing economic and geopolitical conditions.
