Iran’s military has announced that it possesses advanced, domestically produced weapons that have not yet been deployed, highlighting the country’s readiness amid rising tensions with the United States.

A senior Iranian military source told Russian news agency RIA Novosti that Tehran is fully prepared for a potential escalation, adding that its equipment and defence capabilities are sufficient to defend the country.

“This time, we do not intend to act with restraint,” the official said.

The statement came after US President Donald Trump warned Iran of renewed attacks if it did not agree to a deal.

Speaking about Iran’s preparedness for another potential US strike, a senior Iranian military source told Russian news agency RIA Novosti that the country is fully prepared for a potential escalation.

“We have produced modern weapons domestically, which have not yet been used on the battlefield and have not actually been tested,” the official said.

The source stressed that Iran faces no shortages in equipment or defensive capabilities that would limit its ability to respond.

“In terms of equipment and defence capabilities, we do not face any shortages that would prevent us from defending our country,” they added.

Highlighting a tougher stance, the official indicated that Iran may respond more assertively than in previous conflicts, stating: “This time, we do not intend to act with restraint.”
