Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Tuesday on a one-day visit, where he is set to chair an Apex Committee meeting focused on the province’s security situation and ongoing development projects.

Balochistan Governor Jafar Mandokhel welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif upon his arrival in Quetta.

During the visit, Shehbaz Sharif will meet the provincial leadership and receive briefings on the law and order situation as well as development initiatives across the province.

Security in the city has been placed on high alert ahead of the prime minister’s engagements.

The Apex Committee meeting is expected to review key security challenges and assess progress on development programmes in Balochistan.
