Fresh revelations have surfaced regarding the alleged drug trafficking network operated by “Cocaine Queen” Anmol alias “Pinky” in Lahore, prompting the Punjab government to seek a report from intelligence authorities and reopen investigations into the case.

Pinky was initially taken into custody in May 2024 following disclosures made by operatives linked to the “Jordan Gang,” according to officials familiar with the investigation.

A probe conducted on the orders of the Deputy Inspector General (Investigation) found that investigating officer Nazakat had not arrested Pinky at the request of her alleged husband, contrary to earlier claims.

The inquiry further revealed serious procedural lapses in the case.

Pinky was reportedly not declared a proclaimed offender in the challan, while the investigation was completed despite her arrest being kept pending.

Officials said weaknesses in the investigation allegedly helped key suspect Riaz Baloch secure acquittal. Authorities also found that narcotics allegedly recovered from Pinky and her brother, Riaz Baloch, were never sent for forensic examination.

Sources claimed that during her detention in 2024, Pinky allegedly developed ties with a former police officer. She was also accused of paying a heavy bribe while in custody, after which she was reportedly released.

Investigators believe she later established her own narcotics distribution network in Lahore.

Sources further alleged that Pinky used acid to erase her fingerprints in an attempt to avoid identification.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has sought a report from a secret agency over the matter, while the Crime Control Department (CCD) has formally launched a fresh investigation.

Authorities are now preparing to reopen the Lahore case. Pinky is expected to be summoned and brought to Lahore for questioning as part of the renewed probe.
