Pakistan successfully tests indigenously developed Fatah-4 cruise missile

Pakistan on Thursday successfully conducted a training fire of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 ground-launched cruise missile, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The successful training fire was organised under the supervision of the Army Rocket Force Command, ISPR said.

The Fatah-4 missile is equipped with an advanced navigation-aided system and is capable of striking targets with high precision over long distances, the ISPR added.

Senior officers from the Army Rocket Force Command witnessed the cruise missile test, according to the ISPR.

According to the ISPR, equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, the weapon system is capable of engaging long-range targets with high precision.

The training fire was conducted to enhance the operational efficiency of the troops and validate the technical parameters of various sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.

President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff and Chief of the Air Staff commended the successful training fire of Fatah-4.

They appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of all those who contributed towards the successful training fire of the F-series missile.
