The Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Gwadar University have gone missing while travelling from Gwadar to Quetta, sources confirmed on Thursday.

According to family sources, Dr Abdul Razaq Sabir and Dr Syed Manzoor Ahmed were en route to Quetta in an official government vehicle when they disappeared.

It is believed that both officials, along with the vehicle, may have been abducted near Mastung.

Police confirmed that a university lecturer and the vehicle’s driver are also missing in connection with the incident.

Deputy Commissioner Mastung, Bahram Saleem, confirmed the incident and said that authorities are in contact with the families of the missing officials.

“Reports indicate that contact was lost shortly after the officials reached the Mastung area. Every effort is being made to trace them,” he added.

University sources have also confirmed the disappearance, emphasising the urgency of locating the high-ranking officials.
