Karachi police have secured a three-day physical remand of Anmol, also known as Pinky, an alleged drug trafficker, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
According to the DIG South, a request for her physical remand had been rejected by the court yesterday.
However, police filed a fresh request today, and the court approved the three-day remand.
The DIG South added that details of Anmol’s previous cases have also been compiled.
The suspect, identified as a major supplier of cocaine and other narcotics, was arrested in the Garden area of Karachi earlier this week.
Police recovered drugs worth millions of rupees and a pistol from her possession during the operation.
The raid was conducted jointly by the Karachi Police and civil intelligence agencies.
In addition to the pistol, officers seized cocaine, chemicals, and other narcotic substances from her custody.
Earlier on Tuesday, Anmol appeared in court without handcuffs and walked freely through the court corridors, drawing attention to security lapses during her hearing.
Following the incident, SHO Garden Hanif Siyal and SIU Inspector Zafar Iqbal were suspended for granting undue protocol to the accused.
The case inquiry has been handed over to the SSP West.
