Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Monday strongly condemned the attack at the residence of former provincial minister Ayub Gadhi, expressing deep sorrow over the deaths of four individuals in the firing incident.
Maryam Nawaz extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and assured them that the Punjab government stands with the affected families in this difficult time.
She ordered the immediate arrest of those involved in the attack and sought a comprehensive report from the relevant authorities.
“Law and order must be maintained at all costs, and no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands,” she said, emphasising the importance of security and justice.
The chief minister also directed that the injured be provided with the best possible medical care and prayed for the speedy recovery of all the wounded, including Ayub Gadhi.
Police and investigative agencies have launched a full-scale inquiry into the attack, while security has been further tightened in the area.
