Quetta Gladiators moved up to fourth place in the HBL PSL standings after a comfortable six-wicket win over Lahore Qalandars at the National Bank Stadium on Friday evening.

The victory helped Quetta bounce back from an earlier defeat to Peshawar Zalmi, while Lahore slipped further down the table after another heavy loss in Karachi.

Electing to bat first, Lahore were restricted to 134 all out in 19.5 overs after a disciplined bowling performance.

Usman Tariq (3-18) and Jahandad Khan (3-35) led the attack, while Alzarri Joseph also chipped in with key wickets as the Qalandars collapsed to 42-4 early in their innings.

A late cameo from Usama Mir (22 off 7 balls) helped Lahore cross 130, but it was not enough to challenge Quetta’s chase.

In reply, Quetta recovered from an early setback after Shaheen Shah Afridi struck in the opening over.

Rilee Rossouw (60 not out) and Hasan Nawaz (49) then dominated with a 104-run partnership to put the chase on track.

Rossouw’s unbeaten half-century anchored the innings, while Nawaz fell just short of his fifty as Quetta reached 138-4 with 22 balls to spare.

Usman Tariq was named Player of the Match for his three-wicket haul.

The result lifts Quetta to fourth on the table, ahead of Karachi Kings on net run rate.

Lahore Qalandars remain seventh with only four points.
