The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rainfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, prompting authorities to issue warnings over potential flooding in streams and nullahs.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an advisory, cautioning that intermittent rains are expected across the province until April 19. District administrations have been directed to remain on high alert and take precautionary measures.

According to PDMA spokesperson Anwar Shahzad, ongoing rains since March 25 have resulted in 26 deaths and 77 injuries across the province.

The adverse weather has also caused significant property damage, with 20 houses completely destroyed and 82 partially damaged.

Authorities have urged residents, particularly those living near waterways, to remain cautious as the risk of flooding persists.
