Pakistani security agencies have arrested three people accused of spying for India’s intelligence agency (RAW), Research and Analysis Wing, who were later sentenced after legal proceedings.
According to sources, the suspects belong to Narowal, Bahawalpur and Neelum districts of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan.
During initial investigation, the suspects confessed they were trapped through social media platforms, where women associated with the Research and Analysis Wing allegedly obtained sensitive information by offering friendship, financial benefits and other incentives.
Security sources said the suspects were provided money through various channels, including Easypaisa, crypto wallets and bank accounts.
A case was registered against the suspects under the Official Secrets Act in Official Secrets Act, after which they were sentenced following completion of legal requirements, authorities said.
