Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry has said that Pakistani forces, including fighter jets and support aircraft, arrived at a Saudi airbase on Saturday under a bilateral defence agreement between the two countries.

According to the ministry, the deployment took place at King Abdulaziz Air Base, which was targeted by drone and missile attacks during the recent Iran conflict.

The move is aimed at enhancing joint military coordination and reinforcing security and stability at both regional and international levels, the ministry said.

The defence pact, signed in September, stipulates that any attack on one country would be considered an attack on both.
