The United Arab Emirates has announced a comprehensive review of its regional and international relationships following recent Iranian attacks, signalling a shift towards identifying trusted allies and strengthening economic resilience.

Anwar Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the UAE president, said it was too early to draw definitive conclusions from what he described as “brutal Iranian aggression,” but stressed that the country would move forward with reinforcing its national model and defensive capabilities.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Gargash said the UAE would reassess its global partnerships “with clarity and precision,” determining which countries could be relied upon in the future.

He added that the UAE, drawing confidence from overcoming what he termed a “treacherous attack,” would also pursue economic and financial recalibration to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of its development model.

Gargash emphasised that a careful review of national priorities and alliances would guide the country’s next phase, alongside efforts to safeguard stability and reinforce institutional strength.
