Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said the country does not seek war but will not give up its rights under any circumstances, warning that any aggression against Iran will be responded to.
In a statement read on state television, he said Iran had faced aggression and would respond decisively, adding that those responsible for attacks would not be forgiven.
He also said the blood of martyrs, including Ali Khamenei, would be avenged.
Khamenei said Iran would strengthen its management of the Strait of Hormuz to better protect national interests.
He reiterated that while Iran does not want war, it would not step back from its rights.
He added that Iran views all resistance fronts as one and urged neighbouring countries to understand the situation and support what he described as the truth.
He also warned them against believing in “false promises” and called for unity and goodwill.
The Supreme Leader said the position of regional countries would become clear based on how they respond to what he described as “arrogant” powers, warning that such forces would exploit and humiliate nations when given the chance.
