National Electric Power Regulatory Authority has increased electricity tariffs by Rs1.42 per unit under the monthly fuel adjustment, dealing a fresh blow to consumers across Pakistan.
According to an official notification, the increase has been applied for February 2026 and will be charged in April bills.
The adjustment will also apply to consumers of K-Electric in line with government policy guidelines.
However, lifeline consumers and electric vehicle charging stations have been exempted from the hike.
The regulator had reserved its decision after a hearing on the February adjustment.
Earlier, electricity prices were raised by Rs1.63 per unit under the January adjustment.
