Security forces have identified militants killed during a recent operation in North Waziristan, with officials confirming that two of the slain attackers were Afghan nationals, according to security sources on Saturday.
Sources said one of the slain militants was identified as Amir Hamza Haqqyar, while another was identified as Amir Abdul Rahim, son of Zarwali, who hailed from Afghanistan’s Paktia province.
According to security officials, all the militants were killed while attempting to infiltrate the area, following a timely response by security forces.
Authorities said further details about the incident are being gathered, while security in the area has been tightened.
