Qatar has temporarily suspended its visa-on-arrival facility for Pakistani nationals, according to an advisory issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Doha on Tuesday.
The embassy warned that Pakistanis arriving without a pre-arranged visa could face entry restrictions and delays at immigration counters.
It said travellers must obtain a visa before departure, citing “the prevailing situation” as the reason for the temporary suspension.
Pakistani nationals planning to visit Qatar have been advised to stay updated through official channels and consult relevant Qatari authorities or visa centres before making travel arrangements.
The embassy reiterated its support for Pakistani citizens travelling to Qatar but urged them to verify all requirements in advance to avoid inconvenience.
“Pakistani nationals intending to travel to Qatar are advised that visa-on-arrival facility is currently not available due to prevailing situation,” the embassy said.
“All Pakistani travellers to Qatar are advised to obtain appropriate visas prior to travel to avoid inconvenience.”
