Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar left for China on Tuesday on an official visit.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar is visiting Beijing at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
During the visit, the two leaders are expected to review Pakistan-China bilateral relations.
The Foreign Office stated that the visit will provide both countries with an opportunity for detailed discussions on regional developments, as well as bilateral and global issues of mutual interest.
Dar’s visit to China, despite medical advice to rest following his hairline shoulder fracture, is evidence of the importance placed by Pakistan on its relationship with China.
