Sindh Governor Nehal Hashmi met officials from the Institute of Business Management on Friday to discuss higher education, research and efforts to equip young people with modern skills, according to an official statement.
Sindh governor held talks with Institute of Business Management President Talib Syed Karim and Chancellor Bashir Jan, focusing on strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and the government.
“Quality education and skilled manpower are the foundation of the country’s development,” he said, adding that it was essential to align education with the demands of the modern era.
He said initiatives were underway to equip youth with skills in line with the vision of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the current government, including plans to introduce information technology and other modern courses under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
Participants in the meeting agreed to further strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and the government to promote research and skills development among young people.
