Powerful explosions were reported near the Pakistani embassy and the residence of Ambassador Mudassar Toppo in Tehran on Thursday evening, amid heavy Israeli airstrikes hitting the Iranian capital for the 27th consecutive day, according to Turkey Today.

The blasts occurred around 8:00pm local time, but there were no injuries or damage to the embassy or the ambassador’s residence.

Pakistani diplomats in Tehran are reported to be safe.

The incident coincides with active shuttle diplomacy led by Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt, aimed at mediating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that indirect talks are ongoing, with messages being relayed through Islamabad between the two sides.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has reportedly contacted key regional figures, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati, and US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff, as part of efforts to reduce tensions and restore peace.

No official statement has yet been issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the explosions.

The coordinated diplomatic efforts underline the importance of dialogue and behind-the-scenes negotiation as the US-Iran conflict continues to escalate.
