Abu Dhabi authorities confirmed on Thursday that falling debris from a ballistic missile, successfully intercepted over Sweihan Street, caused two deaths, injured three others, and damaged several vehicles.

Officials said emergency services quickly responded to the scene.

The Ministry of Defence stated Thursday morning that its air defence systems had successfully intercepted incoming missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran.

Authorities urged residents to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports, adding that the situation is being closely monitored.
