Katie Price has closed her travel business venture just two weeks after its launch, following criticism from travel industry professionals.

The controversy began when Price, alongside TV personality Danielle Lloyd, 42, launched an Instagram page under the brand Travel Smarter Group to recruit agents for InteleTravel.

The page included posts promoting agent recruitment sessions, highlighting opportunities to work flexibly, travel more, and earn extra income.

Industry figures quickly criticised the initiative. Lisa Henning, chief executive of Inspire Europe, called out the recruitment ad amid ongoing challenges in the travel sector, saying:

“Seeing Katie Price advertising an event to attract part-time agents this week was a step too far.”

Following the backlash, the travel Instagram account was deleted.

Price’s PA clarified that Price “has never stated that she personally books travel” and was merely using the platform to help others become independent travel agents, whether part-time or full-time.

Danielle Lloyd, who works as an independent travel agent for InteleTravel, had promoted the collaboration alongside Price.
