The United States has delivered a 15-point plan to Iran, outlining US and Israeli proposals to end the ongoing war.

President Donald Trump said Washington and Tehran had “very good and productive conversations” aimed at ending the conflict, though Iran has denied holding negotiations.

Iranian officials described the US claims as “negotiating with itself.”

The 15-point plan reportedly includes a 30-day ceasefire, dismantling Iran’s nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, limits on missile programmes, ending support for regional proxies, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and lifting US and UN sanctions.

According to a foreign media report, assistance for Iran’s Bushehr civil nuclear plant is also included.

Israel has reportedly approved the plan privately but remains concerned about concessions in potential negotiations.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined conditions for peace, including recognition of Iran’s rights, reparations, lifting of sanctions, and the removal of US military bases in the region.

In an X post, Pezeshkian wrote that he had spoken to his counterparts in Russia and Pakistan, and had reaffirmed “Iran’s commitment to peace”.

Pezeshkian wrote: “The only way to end this war – ignited by the Zionist regime & US – is recognising Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm int’l guarantees against future aggression.”

It is understood that Iran would also want all sanctions against it to be lifted.

US and Israeli demands:

  • A 30-day ceasefire while negotiations proceed.
  • Dismantling Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.
  • Permanent commitment by Iran to never develop nuclear weapons.
  • Handing over enriched uranium to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and allowing full monitoring of the remaining nuclear infrastructure.
  • Limits on Iran’s missile range and numbers.
  • Ending support for regional proxies.
  • Halting Iranian strikes on regional energy facilities.
  • Reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
  • US assistance for Iran’s Bushehr civil nuclear plant.

Iranian demands:

  • Recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights and sovereignty.
  • Payment of reparations for damages caused by the war.
  • Firm international guarantees against future aggression.
  • Lifting of all sanctions.
  • Closure of US military bases in the region.
  • A legal mechanism formalising control over transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
