The United States has delivered a 15-point plan to Iran, outlining US and Israeli proposals to end the ongoing war.
President Donald Trump said Washington and Tehran had “very good and productive conversations” aimed at ending the conflict, though Iran has denied holding negotiations.
Iranian officials described the US claims as “negotiating with itself.”
The 15-point plan reportedly includes a 30-day ceasefire, dismantling Iran’s nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow, limits on missile programmes, ending support for regional proxies, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and lifting US and UN sanctions.
According to a foreign media report, assistance for Iran’s Bushehr civil nuclear plant is also included.
Israel has reportedly approved the plan privately but remains concerned about concessions in potential negotiations.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian outlined conditions for peace, including recognition of Iran’s rights, reparations, lifting of sanctions, and the removal of US military bases in the region.
In an X post, Pezeshkian wrote that he had spoken to his counterparts in Russia and Pakistan, and had reaffirmed “Iran’s commitment to peace”.
Pezeshkian wrote: “The only way to end this war – ignited by the Zionist regime & US – is recognising Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm int’l guarantees against future aggression.”
It is understood that Iran would also want all sanctions against it to be lifted.
