The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for HBL PSL 11, confirming that all matches will be held in Lahore and Karachi.
The tournament will run from March 26 to May 3, with the number of venues reduced from six to two as part of national austerity and resource conservation measures.
A total of 44 matches will be played over 39 days, with Lahore and Karachi hosting 22 matches each. The opening match between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Lahore Qalandars will go ahead as planned. Lahore will stage Eliminator 1, Eliminator 2 and the final, while Karachi will host the Qualifier.
The PCB said the decision aims to reduce operational costs and ease pressure on energy resources by limiting travel, logistics and utility demands.
“With the tournament temporarily shifting to a watch-from-home model, HBL PSL will introduce enhanced broadcast and production features aimed at delivering an even stronger viewing experience for fans across Pakistan and around the world.”
Officials said the move supports broader government efforts to manage resources amid ongoing economic challenges.
“HBL PSL remains committed to delivering high-quality cricket while aligning with national priorities,” the board said.
The PCB also advised media organisations to use the official nomenclature “HBL PSL” in all coverage.
