Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan spoke to his sons over the phone from Adiala Jail on Eid al-Fitr, in a rare interaction facilitated by prison authorities.
According to jail sources, Khan held a 25 to 30-minute conversation with his sons, Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, who both participated in the call.
The interaction focused on his well-being, with the children inquiring about their father’s health.
Sources said the former premier appeared pleased after speaking with his sons, describing the exchange as cordial.
Recent reports have also underscored health concerns surrounding the former prime minister, with his sons previously expressing worry and seeking permission to visit him in Pakistan.
Information Minister Attaullah Tarar had earlier indicated that a call between Khan and his children would be arranged on Eid, in line with past practice.
