Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran has so far employed only a small portion of its military capability and that any further attacks on Iranian infrastructure will trigger a severe response.

In a statement on X, Araghchi said Iran has deliberately restrained its actions, complying with international requests and avoiding escalation.

He emphasised that the current military measures represent just a few percent of Iran’s potential, and that ending the conflict requires compensation for damage inflicted on civilian populations.

Araghchi described Iran’s actions as purely defensive and stated that any additional attack or threat would be met with a strong and comprehensive retaliation.

He added that restraint and constructive measures remain the only reliable path to peace in the region.

The warning comes after Iran reportedly shot down a US F-35 stealth fighter jet.

Captain Tim Hawkins, a US Central Command spokesperson, confirmed the incident, noting that the aircraft landed safely and the pilot was unharmed.
