Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that it carried out coordinated missile and drone attacks on four United States airbases at dawn, targeting key military infrastructure across the facilities.
In a statement, the IRGC said its naval forces launched simultaneous strikes using several assault battalions. The operation allegedly targeted command centres, air-traffic control towers and air-defence systems at bases linked to US forces in the region.
“The IRGC Navy at dawn today, in several assault battalions, simultaneously struck four American terrorist airbases with precise and crushing blows,” the statement said.
The group added that both missile and drone units were involved in the attacks, which it said were directed at multiple strategic sites associated with US military operations.
The IRGC further claimed that satellite imagery released in recent days showed extensive damage to American military infrastructure at the targeted bases. According to the statement, Iran’s armed forces had destroyed more than 80 per cent of strategic radar systems and other critical installations at the facilities.
The claims have not yet been independently verified, and there has been no immediate response from US officials regarding the alleged strikes.
