Iran has said that it is not seeking a ceasefire or negotiations with the United States and pledged to continue defending itself against the US-Israeli attacks
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told CBS News, “No, we never asked for a ceasefire, and we have never asked even for negotiation. We are ready to defend ourselves as long as it takes… There are people being killed only because President Trump wants to have fun.”
Araghchi described US actions, including targeting ships in the region, as “a war of choice by President Trump and the United States,” and emphasised that Iran is “stable and strong enough” to defend its people without negotiating.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military reported new air strikes on Iranian military infrastructure in western Iran.
According to an X post by the Israeli army, the strikes targeted “several central command centres of the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij unit,” which the military claims were used to coordinate operations against Israel and other regional countries.
The Israeli military said it is expanding strikes on Iran’s command and control facilities across western and central regions.
In response, Iran has fired another wave of missiles across Israel, hitting multiple cities, including Tel Aviv.
Israeli sources reported 10 separate missile volleys between morning and midday, marking one of the fiercest days since the US-Israel war on Iran began.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps highlighted the use of various munitions, including cluster warheads capable of affecting areas up to 10 km, as well as larger bombs carrying significantly more explosives.
The attacks have spanned cities from Netanya on Israel’s northern coast to the Negev in the south, forcing millions of residents to spend the day in shelters.
