Youm-e-Ali will be observed with religious devotion and respect across Pakistan on Wednesday to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (AS).

For the occasion, the traffic police in Karachi have chalked out a plan to ensure smooth movement for the main Youm-e-Ali (AS) procession.

In Karachi, the main mourning procession will start from Nishtar Park at 1pm and proceed to Hussainiya Irani Imambargah in Kharadar, prompting a special traffic plan by city police.

MA Jinnah Road will be closed for traffic from Guru Mandir to Tower, while Corridor Three from Saddar Dawakhana to Regal will also be blocked.

Traffic from District Central will be diverted via Lasbela to Nishtar Road and Garden, and vehicles from Liaquatabad will be rerouted from Guru Mandir to Lasbela and Garden.

Commuters heading to People’s Chowrangi from Hassan Square are advised to use New MA Jinnah Road, Jail Flyover, Teen Hatti, and Nishtar Road.

Vehicles will not be allowed to pass Society Light Signal on Shahrah-e-Qaideen unless holding special passes.

Vehicles for Niaz and Sabeel will enter the procession from MA Jinnah Road Tower.

Traffic officials will be stationed along alternative routes and diversions to guide citizens.
