The M3 motorway section between Faizpur and Jaranwala has been closed due to dense fog, authorities said on Friday.

A spokesperson for the Central Region said the closure was implemented to protect public lives and property, adding that fog can be extremely dangerous for drivers.

The Motorway Police have urged citizens to avoid travelling during foggy conditions and to prioritise safety.

Officials advised motorists to prefer daytime travel when visibility is better.

Authorities said the safest time for travel is between 10am and 6pm.
