At least six civilians, including a Pakistani national, were injured after debris from intercepted drones fell in parts of Abu Dhabi, authorities said.

Officials said the incident occurred after the country’s air defence systems destroyed incoming drones, causing debris to fall at two separate locations in the city.

According to Emirati authorities, emergency teams quickly responded and provided immediate medical assistance to the injured.

The victims suffered minor to moderate injuries, and their condition is reported to be stable, officials added.

Authorities also urged the public to rely only on official sources of information and avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.

The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions following military escalation involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

Scores of people have been killed across the Middle East since the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28.

Iran has since launched retaliatory strikes targeting US military bases and installations in Gulf countries.

Regional officials have confirmed that at least six US soldiers have been killed in attacks linked to the escalation.
