Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Monem Zafar Khan, visited the Iranian Consulate in Karachi on Thursday and met with Iranian Consul General Akbar Isazadeh, expressing condolences over recent losses.
During the meeting, Zafar Khan said prayers for Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and other martyrs, emphasising solidarity with the people of Iran.
He condemned what he described as the aggression of the United States and Israel, and said conspiracies against the Muslim Ummah would fail.
He also rejected any efforts to divide Muslims along sectarian lines, noting that Jamaat-e-Islami had historically played a role in uniting the Ummah.
Ameer added that the Muslim community is in urgent need of unity and solidarity, and pledged to continue raising his voice against Israel and its supporters.
He called on the Islamic world to adopt a common strategy and reaffirmed his party’s support for the people of Iran.
