Police have solved the brutal murder of five-year-old Azaan in Lahore’s Chuhng area, revealing that the child’s father was behind the crime.

The victim’s body was recovered a day earlier from fields near an industrial area.

An abduction case had been registered on the complaint of the child’s mother, after which the police launched an investigation.

According to police, the father, identified as Azam, confessed to killing his son with a sharp weapon and dumping the body at a deserted location.

Investigators said the suspect allegedly planned the murder to implicate his rivals over a financial dispute in Haveli Lakha.

The suspect’s brother, Nadeem, was also arrested for allegedly facilitating the crime.

Police recovered the murder weapon and handed both suspects over to the investigation wing. Further inquiry is underway.

The incident has sparked fear and outrage in the area.
