Gold prices surge in Pakistan; silver sees slight decline

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a significant increase on Saturday, with local markets recording a rise of Rs7,000 per tola.

After the latest rise, one tola of gold now cost Rs526,962.

The price of 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs6,001, settling at Rs451,785.

The increase reflects the international market trend, where the yellow metal gained $70 per ounce, taking its price to $5,042.

Silver prices, on the other hand, registered a slight decline.

In domestice market, one tola of silver dropped by Rs105 to Rs8,219, while 10 grams fell by Rs90, now priced at Rs7,046.

Globally, silver is trading at $77.35 per ounce.
