Renowned Naat reciter Tabinda Lari passes away in Karachi

Prominent Pakistani Naat reciter Tabinda Lari passed away in Karachi after a prolonged illness, her family and associates confirmed on Thursday.

She had been suffering from a heart condition and was undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, where she died despite doctors’ efforts.

Her death has deeply saddened religious circles and admirers across the country.

Tabinda Lari was regarded as one of Pakistan’s leading female Naat reciters, known for her melodious voice and distinctive style.

She earned nationwide recognition through regular appearances on religious television channels, where she recited Hamd, Naat, and Manqabat.

Her recitation blended traditional South Asian patterns with classical Urdu poetry, creating a unique spiritual experience for listeners.

Throughout her career, she remained a prominent presence in renowned religious programmes and devoted much of her life to praising Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Her popular album Dard-e-Rasool continues to be widely available on digital platforms.

Among her most well-known recitations were Hum Madinay Se Allah, Ishq-e-Ahmad Chahiye, and Main Bhi Mad’hat Karoon Umar Bhar Aap Ki, which remain cherished by her followers.
