The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased electricity tariffs by Rs0.28 per unit for one month under the fuel price adjustment mechanism.
According to a notification issued on Monday, the increase is based on December’s fuel cost adjustment and will be reflected in consumers’ electricity bills for February.
The hike will apply to consumers across the country, including K-Electric customers.
However, lifeline consumers and electric vehicle charging stations have been exempted from the increase.
Officials said the adjustment was part of routine monthly revisions aimed at passing fuel cost variations on to consumers.
